America’s birthday weekend will host two popular and hotly-contested cricket tournaments!!  Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) brings its national cricket tournament schedule to the great state of Texas by presenting both the MAQ Six-a-Side Tournament and the historic MAQ Indo-Pak Cup.  Sardar Patel Stadium in Richmond, Texas will be the venue for three fireworks-filled days of cricket excitement. 

On Friday and Saturday, eight teams comprised of some of the best cricket players in the Southwest United States will proudly compete for the Champions Cup of the MAQ Six-a-Side Tournament.  This highly competitive cricket format will be contested July 3-4, 2009 with the Champions Cup presentation scheduled for Saturday, July 4th at 5:15 PM followed by a colorful display of fireworks.

Then, on Sunday, July 5th, cricket fans will enjoy the anticipated match between the Pakistan All-Stars XI and the India All-Stars XI in the historic MAQ Indo-Pak Cup.   Cricket Council USA is proud to be the title sponsor of the MAQ Indo-Pak Cup, which is the oldest and biggest Cup Match played every year between Pakistan and India.  The winner of this elite tournament not only carries bragging rights for a full year, but also the team qualifies for bracket play at the upcoming - first U.S. Cricket Open.
